5/8 Silverwing Limited Editon
There it is is. The Silverwing razor made from the best steel available today.It is made from the finest and best carbon steel and has an amazingly high content of carbon. (really good carbon steel contains 1% of carbon. This steel has 1.35% carbon!)
New forging dices have been designed and made to make the razor thinner and even more straight.
Some people had the honor to test this beautiful razor and all of them agreed: "This is the best razor Thiers Issard has ever made."
The tail of this blank is a bit longer than from the old one. So there is more space for larger fingers.
Due to a new hardening process the back of the razor is a bit "softer" than the edge. Thus is giving the razor's back more flexibility and more sharpness and shaves to the edge.
The hardness is around 65 Rockwell (The "older" new blanks are around 60-62 Rockwell.)
Because the mirror polish is so beautiful there is no etching on the blade.
The blade itself is thinner than from its predecessors.
The razor shaves really smooth and close and it will stay sharp for a very long time.
The scales are made from a very fine Cocobolo (Dalbergia Retusa) a tropical hardwood and the Silverwing shall be delivered in a very nice wooden box.
There are only 300 pieces and every Silverwing is numbered on the silverwing inlay on the scales and on the box.
The box is made from black perlwood and has been triple laqued.
The lid closes by a small magnet.

"Leider bin ich durch den ganzen vorweihnachtlichen Stress noch gar nicht dazu gekommen, mich für das wirklich wunderschön verarbeitete und sehr gut rasierende Silverwing zu bedanken.
